Science Seven Layer Density Column

How does it work?
The since secret is density. Density is a measure of how much mass is contained in a given unit volume (density = mass divided by volume). If mass is a measure of how much “stuff” there is in an object or liquid, density is a measure of how tightly that “stuff” is packed together.
Based on this density equation (Density = Mass ÷ Volume), if the weight (or mass) of something increases but the volume stays the same, the density has to go up. Likewise, if the mass decreases but the volume stays the same, the density has to go down. Lighter liquids (like water or rubbing alcohol) are less dense or have less “stuff” packed into them than heavier liquids (like honey or corn syrup).
Every liquid has a density number associated with it. Water, for example, has a density of 1.0 g/cm 3 grams per cubic centimeter—another way to say this is g/ml, which is grams per milliliter.

“Get them in the chopper !” shouts a deep voice. I hear the heavy sound of boots stomping against the soggy ground as I rush my wounded patients to the helicopter. The sounds of my innocent patients screaming makes Adrenalin rushes through my veins, therefor filling my body with fear.

Strong winds pick up the helicopter and toss it through the storm., my head is spinning as the thought of death becomes near reality. I see people crying and moaning” they don't deserve this” I sigh to myself. Screeching echos through my ears as the radio dies and my GPS screen is lost. Welcome to the Bermuda triangle…

The sounds of my heavy breath bounce off the trees with the wind. I question myself, Where am I? how did I get here? why am I here? As I gently turn my head I see the wreck of my own helicopter and the sounds of screaming begin to burst out. I hike towards the helicopter, strong pains in my legs, I collapse. I crawl across the damp ground the screaming stops.

As I reach the chopper I gaze upon a lifeless body of a child and three other innocent people moaning and sobbing. I hurry to the first aid kit to try save one of the other adults with a deep wound on her left thigh . I wrap cloth around her leg and keep her comfort , limited supplies make it hard to stop the heavy blood flow. As I take the first child out of the wreck  The second slowly mumbles  “Leo… What happened to you Leo.”  In shock she shouts “where are we, what are you doing to him.”  I gently sit beside her and tell her everything is going to be OK.

As the weather changes we all huddle up at the back of the wreck to keep dry and  warm. “Who are you” asks a soft voice. I'm am a part of the air force, I was called to help the people of Rome because of the war over there at the moment. My name is Sandra and  I was sent here to keep you safe and away from the Bermuda triangle.

Science Inquiry

In the past few weeks Olivia and I are doing a science experiments together.
our science is about bacteria in an orange
and we found out that it take a lot longer to mold.

Science

In science we have been learning about acid and bases. We used litmus paper to see if its acid or base and to see if baking powder, coke ,lemon juice ,citric acid where acids or bases.
